BNC Trip Shed which is presently maintaining 7 nos. of Diesel Shunters (WDS4B) caters the requirement of all the shunting locos. In addition to this, 2 sets of High Horse Power DEMUs (1400 HP) are also being maintained by BNC shed (2 Power Cars + 2 Trailer Cars per set). Under the above project sanctioned in 1999-2000, BNC trip shed was also taken up for improvement towards the infrastructural facilities at a cost of Rs.1.22 crores out of 12.66 Crores for creating the facilities for holding 125 locos at KJM shed with an objective to undertake trip schedule attention of Diesel Locos at BNC. This improvement is basically to increase the covered shed by 360 sqm (15m x 24m) and also to provide vital M&Ps viz 5T EOT crane, Air Compressor & Welding Plant etc.
Trouble Shooting Points : Three trouble shooting points are now presently available at SBC, ASK & MYS stations. Mysore Trouble Shooting point also takes care of maintaining of 4 MG locos (YDM4) for meeting the passenger traffic requirement in MYS-CMNR section. Except SBC, the other Trouble Shooting Points are under the administrative control DME/MYS.
